Tutorial 2: Blue Summertime Rainbow Nails

 Blue Summertime Rainbow Nails

Requirements: 

1. Sky Blue Colour Base Nail polish (I have used Lakme Absolute Fast and Fabulous Shade 05 Aqua Blaze)
2. Acrylic colours (Yellow, White, Blue, Green, Violet, Orange, Red, Black & pink)
3. Dotting tool* (for large and small dots)
4. Top Coat -------------> Sealing the Design
5. Nail polish remover/Acetone
6. Cotton buds

Summertime Rainbow Nails

Once you have all the requirements ready in place... 

We are now ready to start working on our Rainbow Nails!!!



Procedure:

Step 1:

Apply Base Polish to all Nails (Picture 1). Allow it to dry completely.

Step 2: Making Clouds

Using a Medium sized Dotting tool create dots close to one another as shown in Pictures 2,3,4 & 5

Fill in the dots till the design looks similar to the one shown in Picture 6.

Now we have a CLOUD Ready....!!!!

• For the Index finger create many clouds to fill the nail leaving a little blue background visible for sky effect. (Refer Picture7)

• For the Ring finger create a single cloud close to the tip of the nail. Now dipping the dotting tool or a nail art brush one by one in the rainbow colours (One colour at a time), creating a Rainbow colours design from behind the cloud (Refer Picture 8). Till it looks like Picture 9.

          You have your Rainbow Cloud ready.

• For the Little finger make a small cloud in the center. (Refer Picture 10)

Now all we are left is the middle finger and our Nail art is done.. So moving to Step 3

Step 3: Making a Sun.

Using a large dotting tool and yellow acrylic colour create a big dot (you can also use a paint/nail art brush and yellow acrylic colour for creating a circle then fill it completely with yellow colour). (Refer Picture 11)

Now with a Small Dotting tool or a Nail art detailing brush create small strokes around the yellow dot to make Sun rays.(Refer Picture 12 & 13)

Step 4: To make a smiley face 

With a small dotting tool make two black dots for eyes like shown in Picture 14 and a curved line for mouth (Refer Picture 15)

**You can also use a Nail art brush for making the eyes and mouth.


Seal your design using a transparent Top Coat to make your design last longer......


And Finally.....

Your Summertime Rainbow Nail Art is Ready!!!!
