Tutorial 3: Blue Stripped Flower Nails

Blue Striped Flower Nails

Requirements: 

1. Sky Blue Colour Base Nail polish (I have used Lakme Absolute Fast and Fabulous Shade 05 Aqua Blaze)
2. Acrylic colours (Persian Blue, Yellow, Orange)
3. Dotting tool* (small)
4. Nail Art brush (long bristles - Liner brush)
5. Top Coat -------------> Sealing the Design
6. Nail polish remover/Acetone
7. Cotton buds

Start collecting your supplies for this tutorial.....




Procedure:

Step 1:

Apply Base Polish to all Nails (Picture 1). Allow it to dry completely.

Step 2: Making Blue Stripes

Use a thin long Liner Nail art brush (Picture 2) used for making stripes and dark blue acrylic colour

Draw vertical blue stripes as shown in Pictures 3 & 4

Once your nails look as in Picture 4...

Now make a horizontal thick blue line at the tip of the nail. (Refer Picture 5)

So we are now done with Step 2... Time to move on to the next Step

Step 3: Making Flowers

Take a the small dotting tool. Dip it in yellow acrylic colour make a dot & drag it a little to give the shape of a small line. Make these lines next to one another for the petals of the yellow flower. (Refer Picture 6)

Once all the yellow petals are ready (as shown in Picture 7)...........

Now using Dotting tool and Orange acrylic color make smaller petals within the larger ones till it looks like Picture 8

So we are almost ready with our Nail art.....

Using a medium dotting create a yellow dot in the centre of the flower. (Picture 9)

Clean off any unwanted colour or polish around your nails using cotton bud and acetone.

Step 4: Sealing the design

Using a good quality transparent top coat seal the design on the nails.

Finally,

Repeat the Steps 1, 2, 3 and 4 for all the Nails.

That's it......

Your Nails are now ready for a little show off.....
